We are always thrilled to see our brides and grooms reach that very special day we’ve all been planning together. For months, we envision the big event and go over every detail time and again to make sure it is perfect – from the moment the flowers are delivered that morning to the time when we bid the happy couple farewell and bask in the happiness of a wonderful event. We form a bond with our couples and, we admit, even get a little misty-eyed when vows are exchanged and the marriage begins.
Roswell Founders Hall is a perfect setting for that feeling of elegance, history and charm, and on April 23, Kristie and Clay were married here in a wedding that was truly heartwarming and beautiful. Our own Emily Kennedy and Shelby McMichael were proud to be able to work with this lovely couple to make their wedding everything they had hoped for and more!
Kristie says of her selection of Roswell Founders Hall, “We wanted a wedding that was our own and unique to us, but I also didn’t want to stress before or especially on my wedding day, so I wanted somewhere that I knew I could trust . . . When we met Shelby and Emily, we were immediately put at ease.”
Emily says, “What made this wedding so special were so many things, especially that this event was a true labor of love between the bride and her mother. They were focused on making this be a gorgeous night to celebrate together with family and friends and never lost sight of that one important goal.”
“We were able to make the day unique and our own, but we also had a team behind us guiding us. On the wedding day, I could not have been any more in awe of how everything turned out.”
For the catering by Talk of the Town, our own Georgina Mathews worked with the couple to ensure it was just right! The menu selected by the bride and groom included delectable selections:
- Mini Chili Relleno Tartlets
- Vidalia Onion Strudel
- Baby Spinach Salad
- Hickory Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and Scallops Glazed in Bourbon Peach BBQ Sauce
- Sliced New York Strip Loin with Peppercorn Cognac Cream Sauce
- Grilled Jumbo Asparagus
- Truffled Mac & Cheese with Asiago Crust and Caramelized Onions
- Yukon Gold Potato Gratin Dauphinois with Thyme and Bechamel Sauce
Said the bride of the cuisine at the wedding, “The potatoes were to die for and the meat was cooked perfectly. We were so worried about food for that amount of people getting cold, but every meal was delivered hot and was more than I could ask for. I know it was my wedding so I am probably biased but it was the best wedding food I have ever had.”
A really nice touch was that the couple brought in family wedding photos to display at Roswell Founders Hall and now have many stunning wedding photos of their own to add to the family collection. Bayless Photography took the stunning images you see here!
It is our true honor to be selected as the caterer for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Our warmest best wishes for a lifetime of happiness to Kristie and Clay!
