Talk of the Town had the incredible honor of catering a gala reception for 500 owners and operators of IHG at the historic Fox Theater. Our talented culinary team crafted a one-of-a-kind Southern fusion menu, blending local flavors with global inspiration.

The evening began with an over-the-top chilled seafood display for the exclusive 150-person VIP reception—setting the tone for an unforgettable night. As guests transitioned into the main event, our chefs kept the excitement going with creative food stations and beautifully presented bites.

One of the crowd favorites? The strolling Georgia Float Station—a unique nod to Southern tradition that had guests talking all night (we only wish we had snapped photos of it!).

This event was a wonderful showcase of our team’s creativity, precision, and dedication to excellence. We’re so proud of everyone who made it a seamless success!

At Talk of the Town, we believe great events start with a well-trained, confident team. This month, we hosted two specialized training sessions to sharpen both our culinary and front-of-house skills.

Culinary Team: We focused on the essentials of food safety, kitchen design, and the timing needed for flawless execution. We also worked through real-world “what now?” scenarios for culinary emergencies, practiced proper plating techniques (because presentation matters!), and reviewed strategies to ensure consistency at every event.

Front-of-House: Our event staff had a hands-on day covering uniform, grooming standards, executing plated dinner service, bartending basics, and efficient truck loading and unloading. The session wrapped with a fun relay race to practice presetting dinner tables—because learning is always better with a little friendly competition.

Our team’s dedication to excellence keeps every event running smoothly and looking spectacular.

This month, we’re proud to recognize Amanda Santamaria for her outstanding contributions and positive spirit! Amanda wears many hats in our operation—working in the warehouse, making deliveries, and even stepping in to cover utility shifts at events.

Amanda was one of our most-nominated team members this month, and it’s easy to see why. She consistently tackles any task with a smile, no matter how big or small. Her teammates and event captains regularly share glowing feedback about her strong work ethic, helpful nature, and positive attitude.
