In our newest feature – The TOTT Staff Seven – we ask our team members seven questions and sit back and see what they answer! It’s such a great way to get to know the people you are working with here at Talk of the Town!  You know us collectively as one of the best corporate, wedding and private event caterers in Atlanta, but it’s when you dig deep that you get to know so much more about our team!

Georgina Matthews, our Special Events Coordinator, is the brains and charm behind so many amazing events each year.  We sat down with Georgina and here’s what she had to say in our Staff Seven interview:

georgina_mSS: What are your most favorite TOTT menu items? Give us the real scoop.

GM: That’s a tough one because they are all so amazing, but if pressed, I’d say The Tuna Niçoise Salad, Mushrooms Rockefeller, Fried Green Tomatoes, the Sliced Duck Breast over Udon Noodles… just to name a few.

SS: What is your favorite original event décor idea?

GM: For weddings, I love to suggest that clients bring in touches of home – soft light from lamps, antique tables, even special pieces of furniture. It makes it feel so warm and intimate.

SS: You work hard. What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

GM: I keep so busy at work that when I do get time off, I really enjoy unplugging on a hike with my husband and dog.

SS: Who is this dog you mention?

GM:  Scrubs. He’s awesome!

SS: Let’s really daydream here! What would be your ideal vacation destination?

GM:  For a real getaway, I’d have to say Fiji or some other remote tropical island with no cell phone or internet connection!

figi3SS: Bring it back home for us. What’s your favorite north georgia event (festival, outing, destination)?

GM:  I love all of the waterfalls in North Georgia – some of them are hard to find and it is an adventure to get to them!

SS: And, finally, what’s the best thing you’ve been thanked for by a client?

GM:  I love it when at the end of the event the families and the bride and groom say that it was beyond expectations! Thankfully that happens a lot!
