As Roswell Rotarian, Talk of the Town’s Chris Archer had the opportunity to experience firsthand the difference he and his business could make in the lives of hungry children. Upon visiting Honduras with the club in February 2013 and doing hands-on work at the Nacaome school, Chris decided that Talk of the Town would to join Meridian Group Partners in sponsoring Lunches for Learning for the entire 2013 school year.

Lunches for Learning provides school day lunches for Honduran children – many of whom would drop out of school to earn money to buy lunch for themselves. By providing lunches for these children, the program is not only keeping the children in school, but offering them nutrition and a chance to do the things that every child deserves – learn, be healthy and grow.

Chris Archer said, “When we were able to see the direct effect the Lunches for Learners program was having on the children and their community as a whole, we felt compelled to have Talk of the Town be a part of this very important and meaningful endeavor.”
