It’s such a great way to get the inside scoop on the people you are working with here at Talk of the Town!  You know us collectively as one of the best corporatewedding and private event caterers in Atlanta, but it’s when you dig deep that you get to know so much more about our team!

ryan_b_sqRyan Bakeberg is our illustrious Sous Chef and he takes his work at Talk of the Town very seriously! He is committed to not only creating the most delectable catering offerings for our clients, but uses his many years of culinary experience to always up his game along with our entire Talk of the Town staff.

SS: So, we know you really like our Shrimp & Grits and Mashed Potato Bar, but tell us another of your other favorite Talk of the Town menu favorites. 

RB: I really am into the Basil Crab Salad in a Cucumber Cup with a Melon Coin.

SS: What do you think elevates an event decor?

RB: I think it’s always fun to upgrade one of our already-attractive and delicious menu items by presenting it in special ways. Our Shrimp & Grits in a Martini Glass always gets the guests saying, “Wow!”

SS: What’s your favorite way to spend a day off from Talk of the Town?

RB: Enjoying the day with my girlfriend doing anything!

SS: Do you have any pets? We hear you love animals!

RB: Yes, I have a few. Well, 15 to be exact – 2 goats, 4 dogs, 3 cats, 1 fish, 1 chicken, and 4 horses. Let’s see if I can remember all their names: Petey, Donald Gurti, Riley, Rusty, Lucy, Sweeny, Roger, Dolly, Frank, Henrietta, Bo, Slim, Rooster, and Pudge.

SS: With all those pets at home, it might be hard to get away, but if you could take a vacation anywhere, where would you go?

RB: Fiji. Who wouldn’t want to go there?apples-sm

SS: To keep it closer to home, what’s your favorite type of North Georgia event or festival?

RB: Apple Fest!

SS: What’s is the best client compliment you’ve ever received?

RB: Hands’ down, when I hear that a client and their guests loved a menu item that I prepared, it makes me smile and always gives me new energy!
