An event was hosted in April to host visiting THRIVE framers by the company’s leadership here in Atlanta. Michael Jones who founded THRIVE hosted the event because the farmers “are the reason our company exists and my wife and I wanted to host visiting farmers and their spouses in a way that true expressed our gratitude . . . Because Guatemalan and Costa Rican cultures are so rooted in serving others, this event was a very important part of our time together.”

We jumped at the chance to help host these distinguished guests and THRIVE family members with a party that celebrated the hard work and success of THRIVE’s team wit ha meal that incorporated coffee into the food. As TOTT’s Owner and Executive Chef, Andrew Brackner says, “TOTT’s cuisine and offerings have only been elevated as a result of our long partnership with THRIVE.”

Our menu for the event was overseen by Chef Trey Gunning and included:

  • Sliced Quail Breast on Mini Fried Green Tomato with Onion Marmalade
  • Grilled Chorizo and Manchago Cheese Skewer with Bell Pepper and Adobo Vinaigrette
  • Candied Bacon Topped with Spiced Apples and Blue Cheese
  • Sautéed Cobia with Corn Relish Cream and Baby Mixed Vegetables
  • Cafe Braised Short Ribs with Coffee Creme Au Poivre Sauce Over Celery Root and Parsnip Puree with Seared Wild Mushrooms
  • Caramelized Apple Bread Pudding
  • THRIVE Coffe Service
